| SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE: I am currently the staff bookkeeper/accountant at the Episcopal Parish of St. Michael and All Angels, gaining experience in the nonprofit arena. My accounting experience began at two travel agencies, most notably as operations manager for Worldwide Travel, Inc. (1993-2005), where I performed all bookkeeping and accounting functions (including accounts receivable and accounts payable) except for income taxes and certain year-end adjustments as directed by a CPA. After obtaining my degree I accepted a position as staff accountant at First Magnus Financial Corp (2005-2007), handling all payroll, fixed asset and depreciation journal entries and many other allocations. Since FMFC folded in the mortgage crisis, I have worked at Beaudry RV (now in bankruptcy) and in three temporary positions through Robert Half / Accountemps. Over my career I have also designed and compiled numerous reports in Excel and other programs for a variety of users, evaluated and installed new programs and upgrades, and analyzed and improved accounting procedures. |
